Having been working in lower Manattan for 16 years, mostly all local residents and businesses have no problem with the Park51 community center. Most people who object to this are not even in the area. I think its a great idea. Lower Manhattan needs to rebuild. If you walk through Lower Manhattan now a days, all you see is "For Rent" signs. To all the opposers, please help rebuild. Don't be an obstacle.

Dean, I've felt peaceful and tranquil each time I've stepped into your Chapel Americana. I hope to see it once again before it's demolished. A great work of art.

Regarding the page, http://culture.wnyc.org/articles/features/2010/jun/12/urban-planning-brooklyn-bridge-michael-sorkin/ Wow, the first picture is especially impressive. It's always nice to look at scenes of affluent, attractive, smartly dressed white people. For God's sake, guys, it looks like a utopian vision of the life in the Fourth Reich, where all the members of the master race can enjoy Nature (with a capital N). Maybe some things should stay "built". - Mike

Law and Order leaving? That's a crime! With Law and Order gone, I'll be forced to watch a plethora of programs made to "dumb down" America: Dancing with the Stars; Wife Swapping, America's Top Model. Oh my God! I remember a reference that one of Law and Order's stars made to Skinner v. Oklahoma. That a very important Supreme Court case. Law and Order did not focus on the crime so much as it did the legal preparation of its cases. Law and Order was more than a TV show. It educated Americans about the legal system. I believe that Law and Order comes on Channel 9. I hope it made DVD/Bluray discs of its episodes. Loss of Law and American will continue the slow but steady dumbing-down of America. We should all be in fear.

Regarding the issue of "asparagus' odoriferous side effect," I've heard that the genetic difference is not in who's affected by eating it, but who is able to _detect_ the odor. In other words, we all have the "side effect," but only about half of us can _smell_ it. Please let Greg D. know!

I can see why the transgender women are protesting. Im not even transgender, but the message the film sends is that they are dudes in dresses, not real transgender women. We need to not forget our transgender sisters and brothers. They are part of our LGBT community too. Shameful movie.
