The band Total Slacker is a western collective of garage-rock psychedelia of the local variety. Drummer Ross Condon and bassist Emily Oppenheimer grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and went to high school together. Vocalist and frontman Tucker Rountree hails from Salt Lake City, Utah. Crashing the lo-fi jam party of 2009, the trio came together in the Brooklyn DIY music scene, put out a five song demo, released the 7-inch single “Crystal Necklace” on Impose Records, and have plans to release an LP yet this year on said label. Phew! Slackers be warned, these guys are starting to give you people a good reputation.
