On Monday, workers affixed a vinyl mural onto the scaffolding wrapping around Google's New York headquarters. The cartoons on the mural refer to famous landmarks and key figures in Chelsea’s past, from Major Thomas Clark, who named the neighborhood in the 1700s, to Jack Kerouac, who wrote On the Road at the Chelsea Hotel in the 1950s.

"Sleep No More," a play that's part-dance, part-art installation from the British theater group Punchdrunk, was supposed to have closed a number of times. But every time a closing date approached -- the most recent one Oct. 8 -- the production team behind the show decided to add more performances.
