Tents have ben pitched at Lincoln Center Plaza for the American Crafts Festival, celebrating its 35 anniversary this weekend and next. Over 200,000 guests are expected to attend the event, sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts, which features the original, hand-crafted creations of 400 master artisans.

This weekend's event in Queens will celebrate the work of more than 500 science geeks and craft-addicts who build and tinker with different materials and technologies.
