After nearly 60 years of performing its contemporary choreographic collages worldwide, the company will return to New York for the final performances of its farewell Legacy Tour. On Monday, the Park Avenue Armory announced that it would host the company's last shows.

For nearly 12 hours on Saturday, the stage of the Cantor Film Center at New York University will be populated by neurobiologists, perfume critics, photographers and musicians who are participating in Lawrence Weschler's "Springtime Wonder Cabinet."

Walls and Bridges kicks off on Monday. During the lecture series, prominent American photographers, writers and performers will talk about everything from clouds to life's turning points to the intersection of art and gender.

Vallejo Gantner suffers from performance envy. He directs a downtown theater, P.S. 122, and he's not all that happy that the museum world has become the "new cool" for seeing live art.

But is any of that art ... any good?
